A Family Reunion; Tribute to my Hubby’s Siblings

My husband lost his mom recently. Sadly she never planned on departing this earth while living in Florida, nevertheless it happened. She made all the plans tho, her will, burial and cemetery plots, however when she died, the ground was frozen in Indiana. The family had to wait for the season’s to change in order to finally lay their mom to rest.

Family traveled from all over different parts of this great country to share their respect and honor with precious goodbyes. Sitting here smiling, looking at that twinkle in his smiling eyes, my husband was describing in great detail all his encounters.  Actually it’s the spark which attracted me to him; the love he had for family. He in fact took pictures, yes the man who never owned his own camera, the man who now has his own eBay business, the man who even has a Facebook page! Guess our family has had an impact on his life, the melding is quite miraculous!

Compiling this slide show for his brother today. A lil “Happy Father’s Day” present. Will email it to him so he can view the memories made, which he personally help foster. I love my husband and his family, every one of them such a testament to the “power of blood”.  Even with striking differences, one can see children of hope and a home of the brave. These words describe family best don’t you think? It just came to me and for personal reasons, nevertheless, this describes the power of family.

Truth is, if family lets you down, God will send you a friend, you know the one, they can see the truth and pain within you and won’t ever let you lie to yourself.  So blessed to have met this friend. Think you have to become a friend to yourself first to receive this gift on earth.  Ok enough reflection, time for some family pics

About Brenda

"Brenda adores the birds. She is enchanted with their grace, their beauty. It was the birds and being out among them that gave her the peace she so needed and forged a new passion She uses a camera to capture those incredible moments, to savor them and share them with others. For her the camera was freedom. Brenda spent her life healing others, and dealing with incredible pain and despair. The world of birds and nature and photography was what she turned to in order to see the beautiful side of the world" Eric Curtis Cummings

Beautiful, Brenda. What a nice gift!

You have embraced the real meaning of love. I think it’s awesome to be accepted by my husbands family as one of them and my family has always liked Mike better than they like me, I think. In any case, family is love to this small town girl. 💜

Family certainly matters. There is a shared common bound that no one else can truly understand. Furthermore, when I hung around the ICU waiting room, it helped to have siblings there.
