Decisions decisons; Two camera’s or not…sure I look dorky…

meWhen it’s time to go on another nature Trek there will be two cameras around my neck WHY? Don’t want to miss a thing.

One of my passions is nature photography. Don’t particularly care for going to the movies, watching TV or shopping. Don’t get me wrong, enjoy a NETFLIX drama, love food shopping and cooking but if you ask me what I prefer..yup…let me alone in nature, with my camera of course.

Maybe it’s linked to my childhood. Grew up in a time where there was no fear in my parents heart. Would spend ALL day outside when I was in the fifth grade. Out in the fields of Connecticut, climbing trees, examining nature, smelling the soil or green grass beneath my feet..feeling the leaves between my fingers, air through my hair and sound in the trees. All of this was home.

Grew up and guess what it hasn’t changed. Sure got the degrees so to be licensed as a
“practitioner” but all of it, all the degrees, all the licenses to be accepted by world standards I could wipe my butt with . Actually, if I knew then what I do now … won’t waste the thought,  maybe those steps had to be taken so I would cherish my decisions of today. Yes it’s the Journey…and so thankful to be alive.

Today I share a moment in time, hope you enjoy..we certainly did!

Sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to get that shot!! Whatever the venture..we need to do with total abandonment..how else are we gonna catch that fish?

About Brenda

"Brenda adores the birds. She is enchanted with their grace, their beauty. It was the birds and being out among them that gave her the peace she so needed and forged a new passion She uses a camera to capture those incredible moments, to savor them and share them with others. For her the camera was freedom. Brenda spent her life healing others, and dealing with incredible pain and despair. The world of birds and nature and photography was what she turned to in order to see the beautiful side of the world" Eric Curtis Cummings

I think we would have had fun as kids climbing trees. Unfortunately these days, I spend more time in front of a TV or behind a computer.

  3. As you well know, I love your pix. I too love photography, but I tend to like shooting plants, flowers, and scenery more than animals. Love to look at pix of birds, tho. Keep it up.

Looking dorky with multiple cameras hanging on your neck is the price you pay for fabulous results. Totally worth it. And who says being dorky is a bad thing? I love a good dork!
