You know what I love about Vacations..

You get to do all those things that got dusty; book you’ve been wanting to read, the closet you need to clean, that class you’ve been wanting to take, the blog you haven’t written or the next thing on your bucket list and…you do it!

One of my passions is photographing nature. When uploading a recent photo for print guess what was revealed, a little insect!

Cutest little antenna’s and feet, not sure what insect it is and didn’t even see it until after I inspected the elements. My latest retreat with “Heart of Mother Earth” echoed the reality of;

“No matter how much we cloak ourselves in civilization, we will always be part of Nature. Because of this we should learn to listen to Her messages-especially those that come through animal brother and sisters. As humans, we sometimes forget that we can starve as much from a lack of wonder awe we can from a lack of food. When we open ourselves to Nature we open our hearts and souls to true wonders” – Ted Andrews

The excerpt above was taken from one of these books dusted off during this respite. Animal-Speak Pocket Guide reveals if we take note, nature will communicate to us about our lives and about us. This little hand book is divided into birds, insects and arachnids, mammals, reptiles and amphibians and sea life. So of course curiously flipped to beetle as I didn’t see any wings on this little guy. And the message was;

Resurrection and change are necessary now. Leave the past behind and be protective of changes you initiate”

About Brenda

"Brenda adores the birds. She is enchanted with their grace, their beauty. It was the birds and being out among them that gave her the peace she so needed and forged a new passion She uses a camera to capture those incredible moments, to savor them and share them with others. For her the camera was freedom. Brenda spent her life healing others, and dealing with incredible pain and despair. The world of birds and nature and photography was what she turned to in order to see the beautiful side of the world" Eric Curtis Cummings
