Great White Egret photo B.Stevens @Wakodahatchee Wetlands Florida 2012

One day spied the Egret Nesting grounds and was blessed to film them in action. You can see the fledglings on right.

About Brenda

"Brenda adores the birds. She is enchanted with their grace, their beauty. It was the birds and being out among them that gave her the peace she so needed and forged a new passion She uses a camera to capture those incredible moments, to savor them and share them with others. For her the camera was freedom. Brenda spent her life healing others, and dealing with incredible pain and despair. The world of birds and nature and photography was what she turned to in order to see the beautiful side of the world" -Eric Curtis Cummings

  2. Those feathers are really pretty! Great video!

    • And, btw, how long does it take for you to get these shots? Are you the luckiest woman ever or do you spend hours crawling around in swamp water and mud with often little reward? lol–but, no, really?

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL yah that’s what i do…spend hrs crawling around on my BELLY with black paint on my face…citronella oil slime plastered on my body to ward off blood sucking critters and get mud btw my toes……………NOT!!! Hehehe but would if i “had to get the shot”. Honestly..give Praise to God and Mother Nature..because..its so funny…things will just happen…a bird will fly up and perch right in front of me…or a butterfly just open his wings..and a blue bird grab a lil piece of pink twig..and I AM BLESSED I HAVE MY CAMERA IN HAND..that’s all :0) Nature is amazing … she quietly amazes me..sometimes i don’t even realize what i captured till i get home and upload…kinda like a cold..but in a good way

We were lucky enough one year to be in Biloxi during the nesting period. They block off the beach where these little sweeties nest and raise their young. I didn’t get any pics nearly as adorable as this little video though.
